Bloomingdales Full Figured Fashion Week

Full Figured Fashion Week has come to an end this year. At this year’s Bloomingdales exclusive runway presentation, contemporary designers took center stage. Ralph Lauren, Vince Camuto, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, etc. debuted their idea prediction for the next popular trend. Hosted by Sharon Quinn, “The Original Runway Diva”, and Gwen DeVoe, founder of Full Figured Fashion Week. A panel of judges, from the curvy community included: Stephy Allen, Corinne LaShay, and Meagan O’Connor, made commentary on the collections. The chant of the night was: “Love your body, embrace your shape, and SHOP!”.

International fashion bloggers from: Paris, Italy, and Puerto Rico were in attendance. The most popular looks among the audience were: A-line dresses, umpire waist dresses , patterns, and floral print. A word of advice from the panel of judges, “you don’t have to wear a trend, just because it’s a trend.” Here are some of the shows highlights:

Free Date Ideas

What are some great free date ideas…that are healthy for your mind, body and spirit?

Thanks to Blackdoctor.org we have some ideas for you are your significant others.

1. Free Concerts/Fairs. This is a great idea for the summer, when there are plenty of free outdoor performances make it even more of a romantic experience by packing some treats into a picnic basket.

2. Hit the beach. The weather is heating up and many beaches and lakes are free to visit, which makes them an ideal spot for a romantic rendezvous. Try having a sand castle building competition!

3. Cook together. They say the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. Find out whats his favorite dish or find something new you guys can try together.

4. Volunteer. If you share a passion for animals, volunteer at a local pet shelter. If you’re more interested in hefting a hammer, look into Habitat for Humanity. There are volunteer opportunities for all passions, so just find the one that best suits you both and have fun!

7. Go for a drive. A relaxing drive does two things bring peace and bonding and depending how face your driving can mess up your hair. Take a nice dry and get to know one another.
