Curves for a Cure Rocks the Runway during FFFWeek

by Trisha Sanyal

A fabulous night of curves, fashion, celebrities, and searching for a cure! That was the headlining mission for this year’s Curves for a Cure Runway Show at Full Figured Fashion Week.  Held at the beautiful Affinia Hotel, the Fitzgerald Ballroom was filled with movers and shakers in the plus size fashion industry and was lined with unbelievable pieces that were featured in the show.  The pink carpet was alive, the models breathtaking, and the ballroom was glittering with flashing lights and live music.

The ballroom was decorated in fluorescent purple and pink lights highlighting the Breast Cancer Awareness theme with a sense of femininity from the soft colors and flashing lights.  Each seat housed its own goodie bag with little products from various sponsors and event vendors. The back of the ballroom welcomed each guest with cheese, crackers, and fruit as well as a FULL bar and signature cocktail to wash down the delightful appetizers with.  The signature cocktail, dubbed the name “Sonsitinis” was a delicious blend of a green apple and vodka martini, made especially for Curves for a Cure provided by event sponsor Sonsi.

Toy Monique, the official Face of FFF 2013, did an impeccable job of hosting the runway show as she graced the audience at her post at the top of the runway.  Monique is no stranger to when it comes to keeping the audience hyped up and alive with her bubbly personality.

Models included Lucille O’Neal (Shaq’s mom), Yolanda Moore (Two-time WNBA Champion) ,  Marie Denee (The Curvy Fashitonista), Gwen DeVoe (founder and CEO of FFFWeek), Rosie Mercado, and Kaela Humphries.  Each model worked the runway like a pro and had the crowd roaring with cheers and whistles.  It was a truly a glorious night of HOT full figured fashion in honor of a very noble cause to raise awareness and find a cure for breast cancer.

Khole wore them, Nicki wore them, Rocsi wore them but who wore them the best?

Khloe Kardashian was spotted at Ulta Beauty Store in Los Angeles where she promoted the family’s new tanning lotion, Sun Kissed. Khloe was wearing a pair of blue Giuseppe Zanotti the same shoes Nicki Minaj and Rocsi Diaz, former host of BET, are pictured wearing above .

All there ladies styled the shoe differently but who takes the look?

Here at Bronze Magazine we think Rocsi Diaz wins this battle. The blue of the Giuseppes bring out the blue flowers on her dress, completing her look.

Summer Makeup Essentials: 10 ‘Haute’ Pink Summer Blushes for Brown Skin

by Tracey Brown, Editor in Chief of Blinging Beauty

One of the prettiest ways to look fresh and fly for summer months is to pop some color on your cheeks.  A splash of “haute” pink blush brightens the complexion, gives eyes that certain sparkle and simply makes every woman look perfectly perky (even if perky disappeared last week). Sanaa Lathan proves that brown girls can get cheeky with pink blush, while looking refreshingly pretty.

We rounded up our favorite pink blushes–all of which, by the way, we have road tested on our brown skin, and picked 10 that will leaveyou “in the pink.

Chef Roble’ @ Studio Twenty One

by Amelia Moore aka Ameliaismore
Studio Twenty One was the place to be as all of NYC taste makers and trendsetters came out to watch the debut episode of Season 2 of Chef Roble’ & Co. reality TV show on Bravo.
It seems Bravo has decided to serve up another season. Chester of Core Venues and the Von Boozier Twins put together a red carpet event that looked like a who’s who of reality TV stars. Guests were served Chef Roble’ treats all night.  In addition to the guests the press, including yours truly the host with the most from Bronze Magazine was in the building to get all the scoop.

Speaking of scoop, Renee from the recoding group Zhane was in attendance. She let your host with the most know that she is coming out with a solo album.  Proud to not claim herself a “Diva,” this Queen definitely has the class and sass to call herself a “Bronze Bomber!”

Season 2 is full of drama but not negative, if that is possible.  Instead of  the madness known for reality tv, you see the challenges Chef Roble’ faces employing family and friends.  However in the same show you also get to experience the joy and sense of accomplishment he and his team embraces with every successful event. Maybe that’s why President Obama hires him to cater his events.  The show’s cast is balanced with just enough diversity of personality to keep it compelling.  Especially, Artie!  Gotta love him!  I had the opportunity to ask Chef Roble’ what he hopes his audience will get from watching his show.  His reply was simply, “Entertainment!”  Kudos to Ma’at, Job well done!

You can watch Chef Roble’ & Co. every Wednesday night @ 10pm EST on Bravo. (All other cities please check your local listings)  Until next time, it’s your entertainment host with the most Ameliaismore giving you moore than what you bargain for so stay tuned to see what’s next. Peace!

Who Wore It Better?

Rhianna and Karrurche Tran were both spotted in a mini red Americcan Apparel dress. While Rhianna paired her dress with a $180 army roll up jacket and ankle strap sandals Karrueche went with a pair of white Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Afro Wild’ While Fringed Peep Toe boots.

They both wore the dress but who wore it best?

Here at Bronze Magazine we believe both ladies failed to be fashionable and sexy.

Both ladies used different pieces to give the dress a pop but instead just gave the look a flop.

Who do you think wore it best?
